When I was a kid, I wanted to be a veterinarian! Until I realized all of what that career entailed and decided that it wasn't for me. But I never stopped loving animals. We owned farm animals growing up and I loved the time I was able to spend with them. I have so many fun memories of our horses, sheep, goats, and chickens.

Since moving away from my childhood home I haven't been able to enjoy those kinds of animals like I used to.  I started my main photography business, Joi Studios, by taking photos of families and documenting weddings. I then added in product photography, but still felt like I hadn't found "my thing" in the photography world. I decided to attend a workshop taking photos of Scottish Highland cattle just for something fun to do and absolutely fell in love.

I now offer farm and branding sessions, event coverage, 4H livestock portraits, and fine art prints!
